It's been a while

Wow... It's been a lont time since I've updated my blog and I thought this weekend might be a good time to do it.
First off I am now coaching at Crean Lutheran High school and continuing to work part-time at the PT clinic.  Today I ran 8 miles for the first time in about 3 years.  God is so good to me!!!!
Greg and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary Oct. 16 and Greg surprised me with a trip to Cabo in December where he will be shooting a wedding!  He's the best!!!!!

Just recently my niece Hollyn and my mom came out to California to visit us.  All Hollyn asked for for her birthday was to visit us.  Just about the sweetest thing ever!  Hollyn and I have a special relationship because we basically lived in the same house for a year.  I miss her and all of my other nieces and nephews so much so it meant the world to me to have her come visit!  And if it weren't for my mom it might not of happend.  Thank you SuSu ;)
We made sure to make it a trip she would never forget.  We started off the week with a Ballon ride over the great park in Irvine followed by a few too many rides on the Carousel lol...

SuSu being a brave woman

My buddy

Later we went on a 7 mile hike in Bommer Canyon.  This girl is a trooper!  Don't worry we made sure to reward her with the world's best frozen yogurt at Golden Spoon!

The next day we took her to the beach where she covered herself in sand.  This reminded me that I am still not ready for messy kids haha...  After the beach we took her on a ferry ride over to Balboa Island where we had frozen Bananas.
Best of all we took her to Disneyland!  It was just so much fun being there with kid!

Driving her car
Awesome group!

Priceless

Pretty much in heaven

Birthday Girl!

Where Hollyn said "I knew she was real, I knew it!"  As Tinker Bell flew over the castle

The last day was spent building forts with boxes, going to IHOP to celebrate the birthday girl and finishing it off right with a Ferris Wheel ride!

It was sad saying goodbye to Hollyn and my mom!  Good thing we will be seeing them soon!

2 years ago today I was tricked by my entire family that I was going to a bridal show.  They got me all dressed up, did my makeup and nails and we were off to the bridal show.

On our way my sister Dayna realized she "forgot" the tickets to the show and we had to turn around to get them.  She made me run into the house to get the tickets.  But as soon as I opened the door my heart began to pound because I realized we hadn't returned to pick up the tickets.  Our entire front entry and living room had been transformed with candles, rose pedals and a canopy of lights.

I wont bore you with the details but if you want to read more about our proposal you can read it on our wedding website.  http://hulettandthompson.ourwedding.com/
April 17, 2010 was one of the best days of my life.  My best friend in the world proposed to me and my friends and family had all been apart of it.  Words can't describe how special that day was.  God has so richly blessed me with such a wonderful husband, family and friends!  I hope I never forget this day!

Shiner, Texas

Greg has been traveling to NY a lot lately for work.  Last Tuesday he asked me if I wanted to go with him and fly on the miles he has accumulated.  I'd love to of gone with him this past weekend, but taking time off work just wasn't realistic.  It made me realize how spoiled I was last year when I got to travel with Greg to Shiner, Texas a few times.  His company was doing a project with Shiner Bock Beer.  If you've never been to Shiner and you live in Texas, I highly recommend taking a weekend trip there.  It's a quaint little town of only about 2,000 people.  Greg usually stayed in The Old Kasper House Bed and Breakfast less than 1/2 a mile from the Brewery.  I had the opportunity to stay there when I would go with him.  If you ever visit Shiner, and I think you should, stay in this B&B.

I have so many wonderful memories of Shiner.  Waking up to the beautiful country sunrise and the smell of bacon and eggs being cooked.  And while Greg was working, I would take walks through the city, tour the Shiner Bock Brewery or just read and enjoy the peacefulness.

When we went in February it was snowing a ton so Greg got a snow day and we explored the city visiting old buildings and of course ate delicious food at the Shiner Restaurant and Bar.

Our favorite place to go to dinner is the Kloesel Steakhouse and Bar.  There you can eat one of the best steaks of your life as well as one of the best deserts called the Kloesel Dream Tower (Fried Cheese Cake with Blue Bell Ice Cream).  You just can't beat Blue Bell Ice Cream and CA doesn't have it.
Shiner, Texas is so peaceful and one of the best memories I have from our first year of marriage.  I hope we can visit again soon.

Greg found this vase at the Brewery and gave it to me with these flowers in it.

It's been awhile

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I realized I hadn't blogged in a while so I thought I'd catch y'all up on what's up in my life.  First off Greg and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary in October.  Greg surprised me with a trip to Catalina Island.  It couldn't have been more perfect.  It was just an hour & a half boat ride to the island.

We spent 4 days in the small town of Avalon where we could walk to everything.  The first day was spent exploring and of course watching the Rangers beat the Tigers to become ALCS Champs!  The rest of the weekend was spent on golf cart tours, running, Jazz Festivals, AMAZING food, a 9 mile hike (which is incredible since last year I could barley do 3 miles without my hamstrings hurting), zip lining and much more.  I think I like being married ;)
The Rangers losing the World Series was one of the most heartbreaking losses I've seen in sports.  Everyone I know in CA was rooting for the Rangers and all offered their condolences after the loss.  But I'm still trying to figure out why all my Texas teams are doing so well since I've been living in CA?  Since moving to CA, the Rangers have gone to the World Series twice and the Mavericks won the championship.  Thanks to RGIII winning the Heisman, Baylor football having their best season in years and both men's and women's basketball teams killin it right now, people in CA get super excited when they find out I went to Baylor.  Before most people had never even heard of Baylor haha...
Greg and I spent New Years weekend doing a lot but also relaxing.  We are also now owners of a working dishwasher which is amazing!  I love having something else clean my dishes.
Below are a few more pictures from our trip as well as some pictures from Christmas in Texas with my family :D
